Early Childhood Apprenticeship Highlighted During National Apprenticeship Week 2026

National Apprenticeship Week, taking place April 26 through May 2, 2026, is a time to recognize the value of hands-on learning programs—including those in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

BHK’s ECE Apprenticeship Program offers a practical and flexible way to begin a career working with young children. Participants earn a paycheck while gaining real experience in the classroom and working toward their education at the same time.

Apprentices receive support from experienced mentors who help guide them and connect what they’re learning to real-life classroom situations.

BHK offers two apprenticeship pathways designed to meet different learning needs. By the end of the program, apprentices earn a nationally recognized certificate and are well prepared to continue their careers in early childhood education. Currently, BHK has seven apprentices participating with additional slots available this fall.

ECE apprenticeships provide a strong foundation for those entering the field—combining education, experience, and mentorship to help build a skilled and confident workforce.
